Gustavo Neiva de Medeiros
Before founding NationPhone, Gustavo founded, grew and sold Uniwear, an apparel company he launched during college. In Silicon Valley, he worked as a consultant and entrepreneur for Rotary Rocket, a space launch startup; Veridicom, a biometric startup and vTraction, a former Rabobank venture capital company. Gustavo was a participant in the ITU Rapporteur's Group on Implementation of IP telephony in developing countries. Gustavo has a Bachelors and Masters in International Business Studies from Maastricht University (The Netherlands); his thesis examines industry entry strategies. Gustavo's international experience includes studying at the Harvard Business School and conducting innovation management research at Stanford University's Aeronautics Department, where he served as CFO and project leader. Gustavo has invented the Interactive Digital User Manual, a patent pending tool that will help instruct people through the installation process of the Dutchphone converter box. Gustavo is fluent in Dutch, English, and Portuguese and speaks Spanish, French and German.

David Adkins
David Adkins is NationPhone's Director of Payment Systems. Previously he served as Lead Technical Engineer of WorldPay, Inc., part of the Royal Bank of Scotland. Mr. Adkins has been planning and developing automation solutions for 8 years and has been involved in the startup of several technology companies including Antevorte, LLC., a leading provider of web hosting solutions, and DJ Holdings Group, Inc., a technology acquisition firm. He holds a wide variety of technical certifications including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Certified Novell Administration (CNA), and Sun Certified Java Programmer (SCJP). Mr. Adkins also holds an Associates Degree in Information Systems from Northern Virginia.

Thanh-Nhon Ma
Nhon started his professional career in 1999 on the trading floor of The Bank of New York. Between 2001-2006, he gained more than 5 years of experience in the carrier & wholesale industry, holding managerial positions at Belgacom International Carrier Services, MCI WorldCom and iBasis. He has been responsible for a wide-array of projects in strategy, finance, quality management and product management. An avid tennis player, Mr. Ma trained at the Nick Bolletieri Tennis Academy boot camp in Florida in his youth. During his spare time, Mr. Ma still enjoys coaching and playing tennis at Harvard University. Nhon was born in Belgium and speaks French, English and Dutch fluently. He studied at the Maastricht University and obtained his Masters in Economics from the University of Brussels (ULB). He is also a graduate in management of Harvard University.

Jeff Treut
Mr. Treut is involved with the strategic growth and financing of NationPhone. He also serves as a Director of the Hedge Fund Advisory Group - a consultancy that advises hedge fund managers on their personal finance and tax issues. Previously, Mr. Treut was the Executive Director of Flasvhue Video Recruiting where he was instrumental in the company's initial development. Mr. Treut was with The Blackstone Group and Morgan Stanley prior to his work with Flashvue. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College and Harvard Law School.

John Semel
John Semel is VP of Strategy at MTV, where he oversees mergers and acquisitions. Before coming to MTV, Mr. Semel was senior investment principal with eVerger, a $100 million investment company formed as a joint venture between Warburg Pincus and Aegis plc. Mr. Semel has also served as a senior business development executive at Primdia Consumer Magazines and Primedia's Channel One, and he was an Associate at JP Morgan, where he worked in Equity and High Yield corporate finance. Mr. Semel holds a BA in Greek and Latin from Brown University, and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Joe Grace is NationPhone's marketing and sales advisor. He is a startup and turnaround specialist with expertise in consumer direct marketing. Online he served as the president of FreeLotto.com and helped grow the company into a top rated sweepstakes site with 12 million members. He also served as the Head of Online Marketing at WebMD, the largest and most trusted online health destination with 25 million monthly visitors. Offline, he helped build a series of successful companies across a range of industries, including entertainment, fitness, health, skin care and gourmet foods. As company President, he helped Regency Films grow into an important supplier of feature films to Warner Bros., Fox and Universal. As founder and CEO of Ovation/Body Solutions, he pioneered the use of television direct marketing to build mass market brands including Suzanne Somers ThighMaster. Joe is currently the CEO of MemoMind Pharma, the US distributor of patented-pending biotechnology developed to treat memory problems in aging adults. Joe also holds a BS in engineering and an MBA, both from Cornell University.

Dr. Arthur Weider
A New York certified Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Weider helped develop the Cornell Index, an assessment test that has been given to millions of men and women recruits to the US Armed Forces since World War II and to thousands of candidates for the New York Police Department since 1975. This test has been used internationally in Australia, Singapore, Bologna and Ireland. Dr. Weider was also involved the development of the Wechsler Bellevue Adult Intelligence Scale IQ test. He has been on the forefront of introducing psychological testing and counseling to corporate America, and is one of the first mental health professionals to use radio and television media for public education. Dr. Weider's latest book is titled "A Weider Weltanschauung: A Weider Perspective of Psychology.

Cindy Gallop
Cindy read English Literature at Somerville College, Oxford, and began working in theatre marketing before starting her advertising career at Ted Bates in London in 1985. She worked at J Walter Thompson and Gold Greenlees Trott before joining Bartle Bogle Hegarty in London in 1989, where she ran large global accounts such as Coca-Cola, Polaroid and Ray-Ban. She moved to Singapore in 1996 to help start up and run BBH Asia Pacific, where she also ran the Levi's Asia Pacific business. In September 1998 she moved to New York to start up BBH US, which only four years later was named Adweek's 2002 Eastern Agency of the Year, with clients like Johnnie Walker, Unilever and Levi's. In 2003 Advertising Women of New York voted Cindy Advertising Woman of the Year. |
